About Orchestra ReVivo
"Music That Lives Again"
Orchestra ReVivo is a professional ensemble founded in 2025 by Maestro Ron Arden. Arden previously founded and led the Lake County Symphony Orchestra for 21 seasons, growing it into one of northern Illinois's most respected community orchestras.
He also served as music director of the Lake Forest Civic Orchestra and led the Zion Chamber Orchestra, where he built audiences from a few hundred to over a thousand.
ReVivo's professional musicians play everything from the great classics to Broadway, jazz, and American popular music. The ensemble's name reflects its mission: keeping live orchestral music vibrant and accessible in northern Illinois.
"For this special performance, the program features patriotic masterworks selected to honor America's 250th birthday."
Why 2026 is Unlike Any Other July 4th
This is not just another Independence Day. On July 4, 2026, the United States turns 250.
The occasion has a name: the Semiquincentennial, or simply America 250. It marks a quarter millennium since the signing of the Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia on July 4, 1776.
Congress established the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission in 2016 to prepare for this milestone. Across the country, communities are hosting once-in-a-generation celebrations:
The U.S. Mint has issued commemorative coins.
The National Archives is touring original founding documents to museums nationwide.
The Navy is hosting an International Fleet Review in New York Harbor with ships from 30 countries.
Washington, D.C. is staging a "Great American State Fair" on the National Mall.
"The last time America celebrated a milestone birthday this significant was the Bicentennial in 1976. If you were alive for that, you remember it. If you were not, this is your generation's version of that moment."
Fireworks are wonderful. But marking the 250th anniversary of your country with a live orchestra, an elegant dinner, and your family around you?
That is the kind of evening that becomes a story you tell.
